Although my medium of focus as a student was ceramics, I enjoy branching out and exploring many other creative processes as well.

"Stability, Detachment and Isolation"-- This large triptych is a charcoal and conte self portrait drawing.

Making art in nature is on of my favorite things to do while I explore.

This handmade necklace is resting on a hand-carved ceramic leaf that is made from recycled clay. Carving lines into clay is meditative and therapeutic to me. The texture on the front and back sides of the copper necklace consist of many tiny hammer marks, which is also very therapeutic.

"A place where you can speak your word openly" This book is an autobiographical piece that represents a moment of transformation in my life.

A visual representation of my past, present and future.

This left side is a representation of my past. The burnt pages are an example of how I am inspired occasionally. If I have an urge to destroy the piece I am in the process of creating I usually embrace that feeling and sometimes end up where I started.

The left side represents healing/growth and moving forward. The weaving is a representation of the ability to harness the present moment. This weaving is also a reminder that I am always in control of my reactions no matter what. The ripped paper that is painted white is a representation of tree branches in nature. I always find inspiration from nature and enjoy strategically ripping or making my work have frays or flaws in it.
